Sijoux’s Terms & Conditions require all account owners to be at least 18 years of age.
By posting your content you on our website you give us the permission to use it to help Sijoux function and grow.
By providing us with your details to make a purchase you understand and agree that:
- You will provide us with accurate personal information about yourself and will keep this information current.
- You are responsible for your account: you will not create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission, and you will not share your account details with anyone else or do anything else to jeopardize the security of your account.
Reporting Unauthorized Content.
Sijoux has great respect for intellectual property rights, and is committed to follow appropriate legal procedures to remove infringing content from the site. If Your Content infringes another person’s intellectual property, we will remove it if we receive proper notice. We’ll inform you if that happens.
Inappropriate, False, or Misleading Content.
This should be common sense, but there are certain types of content we don’t want posted on Sijoux’s Services (for legal reasons or otherwise). You agree that you will not post any content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise offensive or in violation of our Terms & Conditions.
GUARANTEE, WARRANTY AND MATERIAL
Our company is registered by the Slovak Precious Metal Office No. 4797, therefore, each pieces is checked and stamped by them before released for sale.
Our jewelries are hallmarked with our own hallmark of Z-S and by the Slovak Precious Metal Office. This is your guarantee that you receive controlled pieces.
All our silver jewels are made of 925 sterling silver, nickel free. It is an alloy of silver containing 92.5 by weight of silver and 7.5 by weight of other metals. Some of our silver jewels are covered with a thin rhodium layer, some of them are 24 K gold or 18K rose gold plated. Rhodium plated pieces keep their original qualities for a very long time.
Silver 925 White rhodium plated jewelry
Jewelry covered with white rhodium. Visually, they are darker than the silver versions and resemble with gold. Layer rhodium thickness is 0,2 µm.
Silver 925 18K rose gold plated
Jewelry covered with two layers of 18-carat rose gold: primer and finish coat, which makes gold plating more durable. Layer gold thickness is 0,4 µm.
Silver 925 24K gold plated
Jewelry covered with two layers of 24-carat gold: primer and finish coat, which makes gold plating more durable. Layer gold thickness is 0,4 µm.
We generally have a 12 month guarantee policy applies to online purchases from our stores.
Exceptions and exclusions:
- Any damage to jewelry caused by neglectful, abusive or natural wear and tear are not covered. Damages, such as hit or knocked is easily found under inspection.
- Any jewelry that has been repaired by another jeweler.
Sijoux reserves the right to reject any returns that do not comply with the conditions stated above.
Defects incraftsmanship or materials are what the warranty does cover.
Our sterling silver, gold and rose gold plated jewellery have a warranty of 12 months and our corded products 6 months with proof of purchase.
Complaint within 12 months from the date of purchase of the product we can handle the complaint by rejection only on the basis of expert judgment; irrespective of the outcome of the expert assessment, the consumer may not be required to pay the expert assessment costs or any other expert assessment costs. Sijoux is obliged to provide the consumer with a copy of the expert opinion justifying the rejection of the complaint no later than 14 days from the date of handling the complaint.
Complaint after 12 months from the date of purchase of the product has been rejected by Sijoux:
You who handled the complaint are obliged to indicate in the proof of complaint. You can send the product for professional assessment. If the product is sent for expert assessment to the designated person, the expert assessment costs, as well as all other related costs, shall be borne by Sijoux, regardless of the outcome of the expert assessment. If you, as the consumer proves the Sijoux’s responsibility for the defect by professional judgment, you can lodge the complaint again. Sijoux is obliged to reimburse you within 14 days from the date of reclaiming all costs incurred for expert assessment, as well as all related costs reasonably incurred. Such a reclaimed claim cannot be rejected.
We fully understand your cord bracelet may have been on some adventures with you, so we are happy to maintain a re-cording service. The service costs 10.00 EUR with shipping in Europe, 15 EUR with shipping everywhere else, where your cord with silver ends will be replaced. Please allow 4 weeks for this item to be returned back to you.
ORDERS AND PAYMENTS
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Unless otherwise marked, items on the website are in stock and available for delivery. Items or orders will be fulfilled via Sijoux’s location.
Sijoux must receive payment of the whole of the price for the items (including shipping costs) that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form.
Sijoux reserves the right not to accept your order or to refuse to process a transaction at any time at its discretion.
Prices and Payment
All prices are in EUR. The prices payable for the goods and/or services that you order are as marked in our website. If you fail at any time to pay any charges due in accordance with these terms and conditions we may, in our discretion and without prejudice to our other rights, refuse to provide you with goods and/or services. We need not provide you with advance notice in such circumstances.
Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you a confirmation of sale.
We use PayPal to process payments through our website and do not make any representation or warranty with regard to their services.
Delivery will be made as soon as possible after your order is accepted, usually within 2-3 working days. The products are at your risk from the time your delivery is signed for.
International orders may be subject to the payment of import duties and taxes. You, as a Buyer, are responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes.
We deliver our jewels worldwide through Slovak Post Service and GLS parcel service (operates in Europe only).
When the package is ready to be sent the delivery time to the different countries will depend on the local postal service (on average, allow for 4-18 business days). All our packages are sent out by 1st class.
GLS assures a shipping time period of 1-5 days depending on the destination.
Delivery costs will be automatically calculated in the system when you select your address.
We will not be responsible for any delivery delay that may result from the post service or parcel service.
Returns, Refunds & Cancellation
If you purchase an item you agree that payments made through our website are made at your own risk.
If you purchase an item from us then you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the item. To do so, you must notify us via email@example.com within those 14 days. You will then be entitled to a full refund of the purchased item(s) (excluding shipping costs) that will be paid as soon as possible, but in any event within a further 14 calendar days following the receipt of the returned item(s).
- If you cancel your order, Sijoux is obliged to return to you full payments (excluding shipping costs) paid under the Purchase Contract, in particular the purchase price excluding the delivery costs of the Products to you.
- If you want to cancel your order (you are not happy with your purchase), simply contact us within 14 days of receiving the item and we will agree about the return process. After this agreement you must return any items to us immediately, in the same condition in which you received them with their original packaging box. You are asked to take reasonable care with the items. Returning any items will be at your own cost. The process will depend on your location.
- If you return any items you will be responsible for any loss or damage to them in transit, and we reserve the right to charge you for any such loss or damage.
- If the items were made to your specifications, or are clearly personalized, you will not have the right to cancel your order.
- A full refund excluding any applicable delivery costs will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned items.
Product return terms are governed by the provisions of Act no. 102/2014 Slovak Legislation on consumer protection in the sale of goods or the provision of services on the basis of a distance contract or other applicable rules according to the seller’s place of business.
- You must request a return within 14 days of receiving your order. We might give permission to exceed this delivery time in favor of the buyers.
- All items must be sent back to us in the original packaging provided.
- Items must not be soiled.
- You cannot return items that have been made to order or customized for you.
- Accepted returns will be credited to the original payment method by the Seller.
How to return something
- Ship the item back – in the way as was requested before – to Sijoux’s shipping address (Sijoux, Zsuzsanna Szilagyi, P.O.Box 22., 81011 Bratislava/Slovakia) at your own expense. Please provide a reason where possible.
- Pack your item(s) securely in the original materials (e.g. box, bags where provided) including the returns form you received from the us inside the package.
- Once we have received back the returned item(s), a refund will be issued within 14 calendar days to your original payment method or an exchange will be arranged as required. Please note refunds to credit/debit card can take up to 5 working days.
We would be sad to see you go, but you – as a consumer- have the right to cancel your account with Sijoux.
As a consumer you have the right to cancel a contract (order) at any time within fourteen days, beginning on the day after you received the products. In this case, you will receive a full refund (excluding the shipping costs) of the price paid for the Products in accordance with the returns policy.
To cancel a contract (order), you must inform Sijoux in writing and return the products to us immediately, in the same condition in which you received them and at your own cost and risk. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the products whilst they are in your possession.
You agree to notify us of any content which breaches these Terms and Conditions by e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Termination By Sijoux. We may terminate or suspend your account (and any related accounts) and your access to the Services at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. If we do so, it’s important to understand that you don’t have a contractual or legal right to continue to use our Services, for example, to buy on our website or mobile apps. Sijoux may refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason.
If you or Sijoux terminate your account, you may lose any information associated with your account, including Your Content.
We May Discontinue the Services. Sijoux reserves the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any of the Services at any time, for any reason. We will not be liable to you for the effect that any changes to the Services may have on you, including your income or your ability to generate revenue through the Services.
All rights in the design, text, graphics and other material on our site and the selection or arrangement thereof are the copyright of us. Any other use of materials on our site (including reproduction for purposes other than those noted above and alteration, modification, distribution, or republication) without our prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
All trademarks, product names and company name or logos used in our site are our property or that of their respective owners. No permission is given by us in respect of the use of any such trademarks, get-up, product names, company names, logos or titles and such use may constitute an infringement of the holder’s rights.
Events beyond our control
Even though, we do our best, things can go wrong. We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods and/or services you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to services delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

You use our website at your own risk.
Though, we try to do our best to improve our services, but we are far from perfection. We are providing this site on an ‘as is’ basis and make no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to this site or its contents and disclaim all such representations and warranties.

You agree to indemnify and hold Sijoux harmless from all loss, liabilities, claims, demands and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) made by any third party that may arise from any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you or through a machine on which you access our website.
Waiver and Invalidity
Failure on our part to enforce any part of these Terms and Conditions will not be considered a waiver. Any amendment to or waiver of these Terms and Conditions must be made in writing and signed by us.
If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.

Governing Law, Disputes, You get us Sued
We hope this never happens, but if Sijoux gets sued because of something that you did, you agree to defend and indemnify us. That means you’ll defend Sijoux (including any of our employees) and hold us harmless from any legal claim or demand (including reasonable attorney’s fees) that arises from your actions, your use (or misuse) of our Services, your breach of the Terms&Conditions, or your account’s infringement of someone else’s rights.
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Slovakian Law and the Slovakian Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
Arbitration: You and Sijoux agree that any dispute or claim arising from or relating to the Terms&Conditions shall be finally settled by final and binding arbitration administered by the Slovakian locally competent or the Slovakian Supreme Court.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we believe that the changes are material, we’ll definitely let you know by doing one (or more) of the following: posting the changes through mail about the changes. That way you can decide whether you want to continue using our services. Changes will be effective upon the posting of the changes. You are responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with any changes. Your use of the services following the changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
